Bright, fresh and lifted aromas of pepper, spice, red plum, dark cherry and dark chocolate lead to a mouth filled with darker fruits of plum and blackberry, spice, pepper and more dark chocolate. The mouthfeel is soft and round upon entry with some fine tannins on the back end that provide structure and carry the dark chocolate flavors and blackberry fruit on the long finish.
About Mira Laguna:
Founded in 2011, Eileen and Willy Ma were drawn to Santa Ynez by their love of the region, wine, and their Icelandic horses, which adorn each bottle. The wines are named for their beloved horses and the unique quality of each horse coincides with the style of the wine. For the Ma's, growing grapes and making wine is avisceral experience of seneses reawakened.
Thor:
Willy's Boy. Powerhouse, thunderous and caring. Syrah has found a terrific home in Santa Ynez and especially Los Olivos. We blend Viognier to give a lift and vibrancy to the wines.
