Summer Dreams, is a love letter to our California home and the bucolic Sonoma Coast. A collection of wines from unique micro-vineyards dappled across the Western Sonoma Coast. Each wine is from hillside vineyard sites chosen for their generous slope ranging from 900 – 1900 feet above sea level and unique sequences of Goldridge soil. Goldridge soils are rare, fine-grained sandy loam known for excellent drainage, and a characteristically light and fluffy texture. These soils give the wine texture, dimension, acidity, and length that allows the wines of this area to compete with the very best Chardonnay and Pinot Noir around the world. This release will be a small one, composed of a collection of high-end, meticulously made, small-lot Pinot Noirs, a micro-production Chardonnay, as well as a more accessible, fruit-driven Pinot for any occasion. These wines, although a departure from the Bordeaux-driven wines that Jayson is known, are made with the same attention, commitment, and more accurately, obsession that Jayson has for Hundred Acre and Fortunate Son. We look forward to sharing with you.
"Leading off the Pinot Noirs, the 2021 Pinot Noir Stargazing has bright cherry and darker raspberry notes supported by classy oak, peppery herbs, and spicy nuances. It's medium-bodied, fresh, focused, has fine tannins, and a great finish. It picks up some complex sassafras and floral notes with time in the glass. There's so much to love here."
