The 2023 Produttori di Manduria 'Alice' Verdeca is a white wine from a little-known region in Southern Italy with a fun label that took Meritage by storm a few vintages ago and is back with a new 2023 vintage that is better than ever! The grape is Verdeca, a white variety native to Puglia, on Italy's Southwestern Mediterranean coast. The flavor? Refreshing, bright, and slurpable! Fermented and finished in stainless steel, this crisp wine has notes of passion fruit, green pear, lime zest, and a zippy salinity like a breath of fresh ocean (or sea, rather) air with a long, juicy finish that is clean and zesty and made for summer entertaining. The label has cute little fish on it, with everyone coming in the shop asking, "Do you guys have that Fish Wine still?" We FINALLY got this gem back in stock in time for the hot weather!
