Chateau-Fuisse is recognized as the benchmark estate of Pouilly-Fuisse. Currently managed by 5th generation winemaker Antoine Vincent. He believes in traditional, artisanal winemaking supported by carefully applied modern technology. The estate includes several monopole climats (named parcels) each with a unique vineyard identity. The due south-facing slope of Les-Brules is "burn!" by the sun from dawn to dusk. Its rich clay soil is mixed with the small calcareous pebbles (chailles) typical of the region. Les Brules is barrel fermented and is a complex wine with the potential to improve with up to ten years of cellaring.
