The 2021 Cambria Katherine's Vineyard Chardonnay is simply a steal! On the nose, white flowers, citrus, and red apples jump out of the glass. This carries over on the palate, with added layers of lemon curd, apples, and ripe pears. These richer fruit flavors are complemented by vanilla and spice from being barrel fermented, yet there's still a delightful balance here brought by higher-toned citrus notes and a spine of nervy acidity. The result is a rich and robust wine kept in tension so that it's not too heavy. Moreover, there's some outstanding press on the wine from multiple critics!
The 2021 Chardonnay Katherine's Vineyard is notable. Bright and chiseled, the 2021 bristles with tension. Citrus peel, chamomile, white flowers, mint and tangerine oil are some of the notes that grace this exquisite Santa Maria Chardonnay. Partial aging in steel keeps the flavors bright.
Beautiful orchard fruits, toasted bread, and some sappy flower notes all emerge from the 2021 Chardonnay Katherine's Vineyard, a medium to full-bodied, beautifully balanced, elegant wine that has nicely integrated acidity as well as a supple, up-front, delicious style.
Broad aromas of white pear, poached apple and citrus peel draw the nose into this widely popular bottling. There’s a yuzu and grapefruit zestiness to the palate, giving an edge to the fleshy pear core.
Remarkably balanced, with details of fresh, crisp apple, citrus and pear that mingle with salted butter pastry and touches of brown sugar on a supple, creamy frame. Reveals a touch of lemongrass on the finish.
