Healdsburg-based, Arnot-Roberts has a deep rooted history in Napa and Sonoma winemaking. Duncan Arnot Meyers and Nathan Lee Roberts grew up together and began their passion project shortly after college. Their focus is to highlight the uniqueness of each of the vineyards they source fruit from, but each site has one thing in common: they are all extremely minduflly cared for. Together, with Assistant Winemaker Caitlin Quinn, Arnot-Roberts makes some of the most interesting and unique single-vineyard wines in California. Arnot-Roberts labels are all simplistic elegance and stand out on the shelf.
We've recently opened a bottle of the 2021 Arnot-Roberts Trousseau (seen above) and were thrilled with the uniqueness of it! Trousseau is a lesser-known varietal from the Jura Valley in France. It's a dark skinned grape, sometimes noted as being a black grape, that is more commonly found in Portgual and Spain to create fortified wines like Port.
Check out their website and snag a bottle of Trousseau; we also love their Chardonnay!
